We have so many pictures on the site that it was becoming difficult to manage them all so I moved to a server that is hosting a photo gallery. To see each of the projects just click on the link next to the picture below. Lance's Sporty Lance just picked up an 89 Sporty from EBay with the intention of making a few changes. He's looking to add a hardtail section with a 4" stretch, change out the front end, bars, lights, paint, the works. You can download startup videos of the bike below. Derek's Deathtrap We said we were through.... we said we were done... we said no more bikes for anyone else but ourselves..... We have projects that have been on the back purner for far too long, but sometimes friendship has a way of changing your mind. Derek decided to come over to the dark side (from the world of Sportbikes) so he picked up an old beater Harley. This bike has been down at least once, possibly a few times. He wants to take it to Daytona in 3 weeks and it doesn't start. We can't allow him to run around on something that isn't the least bit cool so we took on another project. YOu can smell the gas from 10 feet away, the bars are bent and the wiring is scary. Welcome to Derek's Deathtrap... The Rising Sun Chandler is gathering parts for the Rising Sun. It is based on a 1978 Honda CB750 that he bought in the spring of 2007. Bob's BMW This is Bob's BMW R1200C. Chandler and I were at the Mid Atlantic International Motorcycle Show in Timonium, Maryland in February '07 and that's where I met Bob. As it turns out this isn't Bob's only BMW. He has several..... you can see some of his other bikes at his dealership's website. At the show I was telling Bob that I was interested in building something different and he said that he might have a "project bike" back at his shop. This picture was taken after we loaded the bike into Jeff's truck. Steve and Phil are two of the skilled and highly motivated technicians that work for Bob. They are so motivated, in fact, that they came in on their day off to get the chopper running. They sifted through miles of wiring to figure exactly what was needed and what was not. You can right-click and download three video files of the beast coming to life. (Two of the files are in the .MOV format and the third is .MP4 format. They all seem to run best in Quicktime. 1. On February 6, 2008 we completed the assembly of Bobs BMW. Which is good because it will be in the Mid-Atlantic International Motorcycle Show on February 8. Many thanks to Bob's guys for all of their hard work. It was GREAT working with them! Willi's Softail Willi is a friend from Munich. He recently purchased a 1987 Softail and had it sent to us for a few "tweaks" before we ship it to Germany. (We're gonna try to put the comments in English and German for this project). One of the biggest challenges with this bike is getting the rear wheel setup and allwoing clearance for the belt. I finally got the spacers in and the alignment right. You can download the link below and see the rear wheel turn with plenty of clearance for the belt. Willi ist ein Bekannter aus München. Er hat eine Softail (1987) gekauft, an der wir einige Änderungen vornehmen, bevor wir sie nach Deutschland schicken. (Für dieses Projekt stellen wir die Kommentare auf Englisch und auf Deutsch ins Internet ein). We completed the bike on April 14th late at night. The seat pan was shipped to Willi in Germany so there is no seat on the bike right now. Below is a link to the first start of the bike: JJ's Ironhead This is Jeff Johnson's 69 Ironhead Sporty. He bought a Honda Rocket a couple of years ago but we were able to drag him over to the dark side. This shot was taken at the Ocean Plaza Hotel during Myrtle Beach Bike Week. Lampo's Skoot John's bike is nearing completion so I thought I'd update the photo We're building him a long, low prostreet with a big motor. John comes from the world of drag bikes, so he only knows two things…….full throttle and fast. Joshua's Project After months of searching I fianlly found a bike for Joshua. After all, he's 13 now and what 13 year old doesn't want his own chopper? I found a guy who owned a 1983 Honda CM250 Custom. He was the original owner and had garage-kept it since he bought it at Hyser Cycle Center in Laurel, Maryland on April 13th, 1983. The bike is in pristine condition with only 4693.5 miles on it...... but we cut it up anyway! SEPTEMBER 2007 >>>> Joshua just took his bike for it's first ride (with him on it). We took four very crummy videos and here they are: (you have to right-click the link and download each to see it.) Joshua1 Joshua2 Joshua3 Joshua4 RREBAR I started building RREBAR in April 2004 and finished in during the Summer of 04. This is a rigid frame with a Revtech 100 and Revtech 6 speed trans. July 2007. I just picked up a new rear tire so I had to cook off the old one before chaniging it. To see a video of the burnout Right click and save this link. Chandler's Chopper Chandler began building this bike in 2003. It's also a Rigid with a Revtech 100 and 6 speed trans. The Muell
The Muell started out as a 1997 Buell Cyclone. I started cutting up the original bike in October 2004. It was officially finished on April 18, 2006. Mad Max Chandler started designing Mad Max during the winter of 2004/05. The parts started arriving during the spring of 05. The Hammer I met Jim at work one day when I rode RREBAR in. He told me about this 650 Yamaha that he bought and was looking to chop. Joshua and Lukas convert a couple of throw away bikes into awesome chopper bicycles. | |||||||||||||||
